Default Peeling away calloused areas for tattooing..

I don't know if anyone has much experience with this.. but in theory would you think it is possible to peel as much of the calloused skin around the bottom-sides of your foot and your heel to the point where it might allow the tattoo needles to reach the dermal layer when you tattoo it?

I've heard different methods for removing callouses.. salycilic acid for one, and of course a lot of the exfoliating callous-removing kits out there.

We've tried to get the back of my heal twice now and due to the thick skin in that area.. the ink has only held a certain way down and then just pretty much completely falls out after that. I figure if there is a way to remove that calloused skin, then it might be possible to tattoo it.

What do you all think?

Honestly, if it's giving you that much 'drama' it may be best to not bother with it. The callous' will build up again most likely, which will cover or push the tattoo out yet again.
