We currently have an approx. 2 year old pitbull-female that needs a good, firm, loving, structured, and disciplined home. We adopted her from a shelter in June 2007.... however, we were unaware that she needed serious dog/animal socialization skills. She loves people, walks, playing fetch, giving slobbery kisses, taking naps under the covers, and she even sucks her blanket like a "woobie" at times. She has lots of energy, springs for legs and is VERY intelligent, like most pits are.
We also have demanding schedules and our neighbors upstairs now have a dog, and it has gotten too stressful for us, and JUNBUG, our pit.
I know that she has the potential to lead a happy and healthy stressfree life, but I am afraid that we do not have the capacity to lead her potential there.
Junebug needs a DEVOTED, loving, strong and assertive owner, who can help her reach her potential.
Also, her daddy and I(my fiance) may not stay together, and may relocate. Having her has been a true challenge for us as a couple, and I feel that having her has let me learn a lot about myself and him as a potential husband.
We did not have any indication that she would be so anxious and threatened around other animals, and now we are at a loss of what to do.
We DO not want to put her down, but we are hoping that some one has the heart and know how to find her the right home.
PLEASE contact me if you have any info, advice, or are looking for a potential doggie mate.
