Re: Tattooing kneecaps/elbows

When I had my kneecap tattooed before, it seemed like the machine just didn't penetrate deep enough and during the healing process 90% of the pigment completely fell out.

It healed fine.. very...

Tattooing kneecaps/elbows

Is it possible to get ink to hold in the long-term on kneecaps, elbows, and other rather tough, lathery areas?

I've seen lots of kneecap/elbow tattoos that seem like they healed solid with very...

Re: f@#k the economy.

If you go into clinical laboratory science/technology, there's good job opportunity, and you can be heavily tattooed and still have a good job. Most people in the lab are conservative but if you do...

Out of Body Experienes (OOBES)

Just wanted to see what everyone here thinks about the subject of having out of body experiences, if you believe/think they are possible?

I am fascinated by the works of Robert A. Monroe,...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

Well I had gotten tattooed on my leg/kneecap/lower thigh but 80% of the color completely fell out, and it kinda looked like it wasn't going into the skin very well anyway when this "artist" was...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

Ahhhhhh ok I get it. :) haha..

Good idea.. I think it would suit a collaboration very well. Normally most tattoo shops have you "stick" with the artist you choose and then might consider booth...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

Sorry I don't get your reference.. what do you mean "jump around like crabs". You mean its so detailed.. it will probably be extremely painful and I might jump around all over the chair? I can sit...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

That's a nice phoenix. Vince's work just keeps getting better and better for sure...

Joe Waulken hasn't really updated much of his work but I heard he absolutely loves tribal / blackwork designs.

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

Yeah I can see how it could be mentally taxing for an artist. But I'm hoping that I could at least find someone who could be excited and motivated enough to do it, and have good technical expertise...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

So for a project of this magnitude/detail.. would it probably be best that I physically relocate down to Atlanta to get work done on a regular basis vs flying out of state from Alaska like once or...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

I'm not stealing that by any means.. I don't want to give that impression. The shapes themselves and the arrangement can be generalized and redrawn to be completely custom. Doesn't have to be...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

Yep that's my plan... to get it done at AoN (I'm looking at Vince Villalvazo so far for something like this).

I'm still debating whether it would be more cost effective to just relocate down to...

Re: Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/st

I'm not really going for contrast though... but if the image is blown up a bit (and redrawn of course to be similar but different since this is someone else's art) I would imagine it could be done. ...

Who specifically at AoN would be a good "fit" for tattooing this kind of image/style?

I am looking at getting a full bodysuit with something very similar to that (sharp pointy-edge thick, heavy blackwork...

Re: New Tattoos

Vince's color saturation is unreal.. it almost looks glowy like the tattoo is made of solid paint.

Does Vince do any heavy blackwork/tribal at all?

Re: How long can someone get tattooed consecutively?

I've heard that if you take the equivalent of 80mg Ibuprofin it can help take the edge off the pain.. but I've never done this.

Re: How long can someone get tattooed consecutively?

Virtuoso.. no offense meant sorry if I upset you.

I see your point.. the body can secrete more plasma as the skin gets further traumatized.. diluting the pigment in the skin or pushing it back out...

Re: How long can someone get tattooed consecutively?

Well I'm curious how Brandon and some of the AoN crew have managed to tattoo someone consecutively for 30+ hours if the body supposedly stops taking pigment past a certain point. Not that I don't...
