Default camera for quality photos

I'm looking for a camera to take quality photos of my work. While I currently have a functional digital camera, I just don't think it does my tattoos' justice. Any recommendations on a digital camera that takes quality pics?

i've got a 7.2 cybershot

doesn't really matter if your lighting situation sucks a big fat one like mine does... the lens only captures what the lights show

I just bought a Canon Rebel XT. Very nice camera, but it takes a little getting use to. Once you figure out the right settings it takes great pictures. I have also heard you can't go wrong with sony. Also your going to want an SLR.
