We know what you're thinking: "My WHAT?"

A Rescue Rockstar is a person that gives extraordinary effort to rescuing animals from kill shelters, making sure that they're happy, healthy, and well-adjusted until they reach their forever homes. Or it could be someone that makes a public impact on the importance of adopting rather than shopping. It could be a volunteer that goes over and above what's expected to help shelter animals or a public shelter employee that makes every effort to get animals into rescue. Anyone who gives their whole heart to rescue animals.





Rock for Rescue is starting a monthly feature called Rescue Rockstars to recognize outstanding individuals in rescue. To nominate your favorite Rockstar, send a email to rockforrescue@yahoo.com with Rockstar in the subject line. Briefly describe what makes your rockstar stand out. Please include an email address or myspace profile information so that we can contact him/her.
