Default What Kind of Machine is this

so i recently acquired this machine from a friend
was told that it was made in argentine all hand made custom built
the only thing is says is E.I on it and thats it
so if you could take a look and tell me if you have any ideas of the builder
would greatly appreciate it

i have been doing research looking and guessing what they could be and as far as i have deducted they are possibly early irons i only know cuz there from argentina they have the tube vise head how the pressure gap is in an angle and at the bottom.SO any takers on being sherlock holmes

That seems to be a good deduction. It looks a lot like the Early Irons that were being sold on eBay for a while there. They all had that stamped in E.I. if my memory serves me correctly. Cool looking machines but I could never find any reviews of how they run.

yes i was talking to Nick Ackman and he solidify that it is an Early Iron does anyone know how much they were running for and i will let you know how they run tomorrow (the one shown is a shader)

I don't think it was because of where the recess for the screw head on the tube vise is located.

the way that back spring is raised up by a (shim/washer/whatever?) is kinda poor geometry on that frame...i wonder if you would have problems with that back spring breaking, it already has a weird forward bend. ive seen people tattoo with worse though!

It's an Early Irons and one sold on ebay a few weeks ago for $51
(just searched completed listings)

The geometry "looks" correct. But it seems whoevehands it had no clue what's going on and shimed the rear spring..the coils are probably the wrong size or a they are shimmer and need to be lowered
