so the owner of inked nation contacted me this morning to ask me if I would put something in the forum about rating or whatever my art -

in typical family fashion I selected one that promotes the studio

they insist that any negative commentary will be pulled before anyone even sees it but the moderators - in other words "HATER-FREE" ??????

we shall see - check it out???

I have to admit, this disturbs me. I really don't think that there are many people who'd honestly argue that Brandon isn't a talented artist, but someone can be very gifted at what they do and still not have their work cared for on an aesthetic level by enthusiasts or fellow artists.

That someone might potentially give a less than stellar review of something because of this does not make them a "hater".

What's the point of requesting that Brandon post a piece, and then promising him that he won't receive all the honest responses? He's an adult who presumably doesn't need to shielded from harsh criticism, be it bulls&!t or legitimate.

The likelihood that he's gonna come down with a case of the vapors and faint dead from the hurt is very small indeed.

It's alright to not like something, even though there might not be anything "wrong" with it. You know what I mean?
