Re: Paco ROllins Machines....
finally got me a paco rollins from kingpin, its the semi magnetic shader- must say it is a damn good machine! used it on our apprentices hand and loved it.... i have a couple problems/complaints tho, not sure if it really is a problem but the wires on my machine on the opposite side of the frame where they are twisted together and rest against the coils, were completely exposed when i got the machine, so i had to wrap some elect tape around them....theyre not supposed to exposed right? tried calling kingpin but they werent answering the phone all day oh and its kinda weird having the capaciter on the outside of the frame, makes me nervous about it getting hit and breaking off

i love that machine. the wires being covered are purely aesthetic. it wont mess up the function any, and just keep the cap pushed in there. its just how they come. for the price, just electrical tape em up if it bothers you, but ive preferred that liner over MANY liners and use it wirh no problems. cheers.
also, i read that nathan kotscheco used one or uses one for a lot of his work (this is sourced via him on his messageboard in 09)
edit: and ben grillo.
and mike giant.
and scott harrison.

Re: Paco ROllins Machines....
I´ve been using paco´s brass shader for the last 3 years, used it firstly as my main shader, but it seems it hit a little too hard for my taste so i tried for color blending and besides changing the front spring its been my daily color packer. ill be ordering a semi-magnetic soon cause ive heard really nice things about it. Paco Rollins Rock ! Hell yeahhhh !

Re: Paco ROllins Machines....
make sure you are a tinkerer, if you tattoo with them four hours a day 6 days a week, they need to be tuned pretty often.

Re: Paco ROllins Machines....
I have bought 3 brass shaders from Paco in the past 6 months. I keep letting people borrow them and they fall in love and buy it from me. Ben Chambers bought the first one, Mike McMahon got my 2cnd so I had him engrave my name in the 3rd.
Awesome machines and super cool guy.
