Default career day at local high school

I have just returned to the shop after doing 2 different presentations at a local high school. I went in not knowing how the kids would react to me and my "unorthodox" style of presenting. It went so well , I had kids asking great questions regarding our craft.

As someone who has been treated very well by the tattoo and bod mod industry I felt it my duty to give back to the youth who at the very least will turn out to be our next customers, and at the most some of our next apprentices.

My main goal of my presentation was to show the kids all the different aspects of our job, trade, passion, and life. From the basic skills learned in middle school to the more specific areas of knowledge in college and apprenticeships. To the point of giving up many of the social aspects of life to be able to paint ,draw, and sculpt.

I would also like to add that I did not give any technical information out. Just rather the skills needed to tackle this life of work.

I hope I made my entire message to just one student. Whether they want to be a tattooist or not. I feel it is very important to give back a small bit of the happiness that this wonderful trade/lifestyle has bestowed upon me.

Thanks for reading.
