Re: ONE >Black ink
"One" is good , I've used it. Its dark. However any GOOD black is good .
Silverback, One, Kuro Sumi, Waverly,Eternal ,Alla Prima, there is no secret ink, there is no magical ink, thats gonna make you a better tattoo artist, it's mostly your knowledge and technique, it's how much you know.......ok how do you know?...by tattooing.
Seeing healed product, etc. try different ones that are from a reputable co. that are made for tattooing .and that are safe .and do the best tattoo , that you can.

Re: ONE >Black ink
He probably did it out of his home. My brother has some really bad work done when he was 14 or 15, by a dude that was always in and out of prison and thought tattooing minors was a good way to make money.

Re: ONE >Black ink
All I can say as a collector is that no black pigment has healed in my skin as nice and as dark as Waverly has and I am seeing it more and more on peoples shelves when i go into their shops!
But Los gave you some great advice!

Re: ONE >Black ink
+1 on Bill's Black. Would never use One for lining... Use One for some shading. One will give a look of graphite in the skin at times. One not as black as Bill's or Dynamic for that matter. Still using Talens for lining. I get a slightly better result, (insignificant really, but I've still got 2 bottles of Talens). Many artists swear by Bill's for lining.

Re: ONE >Black ink
Thanx again for all the info, and my parents are TOTALLY against the look of tattoos especially back then, I just jumped in the chair, no big deal and it was from a shop nobodies kitchen or nothing like that, it was pretty cool back in the day going to skool and having a tattoo from a parlor at that age. but looking back he wasnt a good tattoo artist and at the time I got my first tattoo, he was on his way to closing the doors anyway, so I was at the right place at the right time.>>>>>>>>>> I've heard talens is good for lining, never heard of bill's going to do some research on that thanx again for the info.....

Re: ONE >Black ink
The ONE from kingpin is the only black I use. Darker than Dynamic in my opinion. Makes a badass greywash if you cut it down.
