If he's in your home...it means he got past your burglar alarm. The first part of your defense system.

If he's a kid and you kill him, you are looking at an involuntary manslaughter charge.

Yeah, the legalities are complicated.

In my state, there is no Castle law...so I would only be able to fire to prevent an immediate threat to my life/health that I could not evade.

I pray that I *never* ever need to even point a gun at someone...but the world is a crazy and sometimes dangerous place...and violence has a way of popping up on you when you least expect it. I am not a violent person by any means...but if it happens...I hope to have the best chance at keeping myself and my family safe.

ps my dogs have been through food distraction training and have been trained not to eat anything from strangers ( poisons etc)

I keep my .9mm with me at all times, (pre Brady bill) double stack clip…noting but hollow points...I want them to stay put in the bastard I hurl them at, nor do I want them going into the neighbors home!

I figured your dogs were trained...Didn't know the cost in todays market. Looks like dog trainers aren't doing too bad.

And Tasha...its part of the training to know who's friendly and when to eat or attack. Who wouldn't take food from you...How about some cupcakes? haha

Nobody wouldn't take food frome me. I made cookies the other day for some people at work who requested them and some guy was like 'what if you laced them with something'

i was like what the heck do i look like to you, lacing cookies..

then someone passed out.
