Stinger? Yes I owned one of those too . It run super fast w/ a 10 mfd capacitor.
Its made for power lining pushing 7-14's . Its also a cutback which gives an extra kick in the pants. If you try using a 3 liner , it'll gives you lines as thick as a 7 liner , yes choose carefully how you use it. Any well tuned machine will do a good tattoo, sometimes you must mold yourself around the way it works. The end result comes from the person behind the machine. Tattoo with it first before you tamper with it, I always say.

i was using a couple of spliced together machines (danny knight frames i believe), i got from a co-worker that i worked with when i was apprenticing. when it came time to get my first full on bought machine i got the Soba Pilot from workhorse and man have they ever been reliable and trust worthy to this day its still my everyday machine.

they are a good solid frame and i used to build everything with eikon coils and springs. i have another artist who has been building for along time and he is one of the best i have ever seen. i set up most of my machines with aaron cain springs, armature bar, and the rset of his hardware from lucky's and have never looked back. i use those mainly for color machines. the liners i still have set up with eikon. i have a coastal waters frame set up with all eikon parts and wouldnt trade it for the anything. one of my coworkers bought bought an aaron cain portal liner. it runs real nice and one of the days that he was off i used the portal for one tattoo and the next my custom built coastal waters. the portal ran real nice but it cant compare to my coastal. i hope this helped. my coastal has been a daily driver of mine for over 10 years and running
