I think that the most important thing is researching a good doctor. Ask around, especially at tattoo shops, as a lot of artists might have someone they recommend. Look at websites that offer reviews. Don't be afraid to travel for a good doctor. You already made a mistake by not researching your tattoo or artist, don't make it again with the removal. Once you find a good doctor, you have someone to ask all of the questions you need.

I had my first session done on a black & grey tattoo on my arm a month ago... it took the nurse practitioner 3-5 minutes to go over an 8 inch area and the total damage was $360. I was surprised at how bad it really hurts. I have a super high tolerance for pain but damn.... for 2 days after anytime I would talk about it or hear a clicking noise I got goose bumps. I'm just lightening it for the artist who's creating my sleeve but I have at least 2 more sessions left to see the results I think he and I both desire.

I am still looking for another place to have the rest of a half sleeve removed. Does anyone know of a good place to go that is close to Atlanta?

Di, I am sure you remember me from the day I had Dave, Bryan, and Chris V do both my thighs for around 10 hours with a Foo Dog and 2 Masks. I have another sitting scheduled for December 1st with Chris V to finish my full sleeve, but I am still trying to find a laser tech in our area. Any thoughts or places you might recommend?

I have had 7 sessions to lighten a few old tattoos (done when I was young and stooooopid) to make way for my Aitcheson inspired Bio sleeve.

Each session took about 2-3 minutes to cover the 6 square inches, and it was done at a local tattoo shop, costing me £40 (I'm not sure of the exchange rate right now), and I too was shocked at how painful it was!!!

I am the same dude, whenever I hear a clicking sound, I get cold sweats!!!

laser beams are cool!!!!!!!!! They need to think of more things to do with laser beams. Like laser beam chopsticks or microwaves. Same thing for lava. It's so cool, but nobody can find a use for it other than rocks at gift shops or soap. Somehow, though, I don't think that soap actually has lava in it. Just sand. I hate when commercial America plays mind tricks on me. How about lava powered cars. Yeahhhhh......that would be awsome.

Laser is a very powerful technique for hair and tattoo removing. Most of the people use this technique just because this is a safe method and we will not face any side effects after using this.
