She was named Caution by her initial owner and – caution- you will fall in love with her. This sweet little girl was kind of dumped at my feet 2 days ago however I am in no position to keep her.
My 20 yr. old daughter and her boyfriend (living in their own place)each had un-fixed pitbulls, Charlie and Marley , and C & M wasted no time creating a beautiful litter of six. They sold five and my daughter decided to keep one for herself. Very recently my daughter and her boyfriend spilt up and had to both move out of the place they were renting. The boyfriend kept Charlie and my daughter was able to place Marley right away, but showed up on my doorstep with Caution. I have explained there is no way I could or will keep her here and my daughter gets it, but has left it to me to find a home for Caution.
I, knowing nothing about dogs, am muddling through. My neighbor loaned me a crate which Caution is, as I write this email, sleeping and snoring in here in the kitchen beside my chair. I am feeding her twice a day and walking her every 3 to 4 hours (except at night) when she plays like crazy and is the sweetest little thing. I have a chew toy and water in her crate. And I would NEVER yell at her or smack her or anything like that. And that is all about the extent of my knowledge of caring for a puppy.
I was searching like mad on the internet to find a home for her. The “no kill” shelter here won’t take her and anything else I have found in this area will ‘put her down’ after three to seven days. I can’t take the thought of that. But being that I literally cannot keep her as I am leaving town this Saturday morning, I have been in a panic. Thank goodness the Forsyth County Animal Shelter gave me your contact information.
