that f@#kin zombie hand is BADASS!!! Kinda comic-booky... Thats just a cool ass sleeve! Can you share how the design elements came together? Did you give a few ideas for him to work with or did he give you ideas?

Thanks! I'm f@#king stoked to see how the hand turns out in the end.

I went to Dave and said I wanted a particular spider (joro gumo), an anatomical heart made of ruby, and a graveyard background. There was also a scarlet A in there, but neither of us felt that it fit with the rest of the sleeve.

Dave grabbed my arm and his sharpies and started sketching. He threw the bird in on his own during the first session. he knew it would be badass, but I don't think he knew that it went perfectly with my reasons for that spider. Then I wanted to ask for a zombie hand somewhere in the graveyard, but felt that I might be asking for too much. I didn't want it cluttered.

During the second session he grabbed the sharpies and threw down a zombie hand and said he didn't think I'd mind. f@#k NO I DON'T MIND!

From here on out, Dave has total freedom over any and all of my ink. Dude is in my head. Even the music, movies, and podcasts that he plays while working is perfect.
