Default Skin Disorder

Hey all, first off I'm new to the forum, so, Hellooooo everyone!

Now my question. This has never come up before, but someone asked me about getting tattooed when you're prone to psoriasis flare ups when the skin has gone through trauma, like a nick from shaving and so on. He has other tattoos, and hasn't had much of a problem, but the last one that he got done covers a little more skin than the rest, and he's having a harder time getting the psoriasis to go away. Can anyone reccomend ways to heal it? It's not a fresh tat, so I would assume that his prescription creams would be ok to use on it by now? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Padawan. He did ask his doctor, who unfortunately could not give any advice about how the tattoo would react with the creams, as far as fading or anything, and simply said, don't get tattooed if you're worried about it... Now I did find some salve called Black Cat, which is meant for healing tattoos and supposedly works well on people with psorasis...Anyone heard anything about it?

He should try Emu Oil and Emu Psoriasis Cream.....whenever I get tattooed I heal it with A&D for the first couple days then go to lubiderm then the emu cream and oil. Its a pain in the ass and sometimes it takes longer than others to clear back up but it seems to work better than anything else I've tried. If it breaks out over an old tattoo I use the emu oil and cream and its been clearing it up pretty fast and clean.

When it breaks out over an old tattoo it never seems to cause any problems with loss of color. Sometimes healing a fresh tattoo it will pull a little color out here or there but its never been enough to bother me.
