Re: witch hazel or glycerin?
water and hazel mixture in a nalgene squeeze bottle... squirt it in the cup real fast so you get bubbles, as the bubbles pop it mixes the ink while it sits on your station so it doesn't separate before you're ready to use it.

Re: witch hazel or glycerin?
Are you guys using Straight Witch Hazel or are you cutting it with water? The shop I'm at is torn, Two of the artists use a 50/50 mix, and the other two use it straight out of the bottle... I've been wanting to try it in my greywash, I was using my Green Soap mixture, but when I asked, I got both answers, so I thought I'd ask you guys.

Beware if u ever hear of ppl using Everclear or th likes of...it was accepted earlier on in the Tattoo history and from wut i understand some artist still use that "formula" but stay away from that and using Green soap like products that have a "Detergent" like property(Pre op scrub). My oppinion.
Hazel, h20, glycerin r very compliant wen it comes to the body reacting/healing nicely. Bactine...well i would of never guess som1 would use that stuff like that but if it works for som1...
The less chemicals and anesthetics to mingle with Ink(Pigment) th better i say. keep it simple man

This makes a lot of sense, although the only thing I've ever used glycerin for is smoothing out dry or chalky colors, like I've gotten with a lot of batches of Intenze products. a little glycerin makes it a lot easier flow into the skin and to wipe clean. Gotta be careful not to add too much, or you'll make your colors too translucent.
I have been using my green soap mixture to water down greywash, and I haven't seen any healing problems with it at all. Generally it stays between 3 and 5 days with no heavy scabbing. I have to wonder if there have been cases of allergic reactions in some people??? I'm gonna have to try using the above dilution to see what kind of noticable difference there is.
