I mix em all the time as well with no problems. Even the inks that dont mix well and look like viniger and water will still mix fine in the cap and again in the tip. Never any problems.
I used to take 1 drop of dynamic dark blue, (BD1) and mix it to an 8 oz bottle of white to create a new frosty white. Must be mixed well. Anyone ever done or heard of that old trick?

Yeah, that can happen with reds... its usually a "cool vs. warm" thing. If one brand makes their red on the cool side and another has theirs on the warm side, the result is a muddy looking red. Cool reds have more blue/purple in 'em, warm reds have more orange/yellow in 'em. blue+orange are complimentary so mixing them makes mud. Purple+yellow are complimentary, so same problem.
