in search of the blackest black ink

Cant Get Waverly in the UK....:-( Sucks A$$. I had one bottle of Skin Candy Black, it was fantastic, free flowing black as black, second bottle was terd. I actually did a comparison with what little I had left from the first side by side same machine and the second bottle was like peepee. Go Figure....I never did get my head around it. Using Intenze True Black at the minuite and it seems quite good.... We need a Waverly supplier in Europe!!

dynamic black. Sumi is always good for outlines. intenze zuper black is nice too. ad a little dark blue to your black ink.A freind showed me that and it comes out pretty black.

adding blue to black does not make it darker! it makes it bluer!

Haha , That is what i figured.. I used a mix he made with perrywinkle and talons i belive.. it was pretty black nothing amazing .. I have a bottle full and never used it again if that tells ya anything.I personally use Sumi or Intenze blacks.. I was also told by a guys who black was insane black he boiled down dynamic black and then used it.. I dont wanna mess with any of that so i just what comes stock from a good ink company, seems simple enough..I wanna try something diffrent tho.

Id have to say, Ive added blue, or purple to my sumi before, and it really seems to make the healed black a bit richer. Im not sure if its the change in consistancy or what. The customer and I had to agree that the black we added pigment to sure seemed darker.

I love dynamic black as is for lining and coloring. Boiling it down would only make it thicker, some would like that but I like all my pigments to be the consistency of my liner inks, good flow rate but at the cost of staining your other cap colors when dip blending. Not sure if Dermaglo has a black in their lineup but their pigments are some of the best on the market, but they are distributed from the UK.

I´ve been using the "one" ink recently. I´ve heard storys about blow outs but none so far.
About adding colors to you black I´ve heard that adding red to your black is a way to get away from the green or blue look of aging. Maybe a longshot.

Strictly from personal experience I would have to say Eternal Triple Black.It's very thick,so if you run a whippy,short stroke b/g shader it won't perform the same as using a thinner pigment.I usually come back and pop in with a color packer just to get it smooth and dark.
