Default Red reaction?

Hello,

This is my first time posting, I'm an apprentice and have been tattooing my own legs for practice for about a six months now (after a year of drawing, washing tubes and cleaning the shop). About five weeks ago I tattooed a boxing glove on my leg and used a very well known brand of inks (I'm not getting into an ink war so I wont mention the brand) it healed up no problem but then about a week after dong it a bunch of red spots appeared around the tattoo, pretty far away from the tattoo itself but in a clear ring around the tattoo. My master has never seen this before and it has him stumped. Don't really want to go to a dermatologist cos I know what he's going to say. Anybody had similar problems or a way to resolve this without getting lasered....?

Most warm colors red yellow ect are made with a mineral that contains metal and crystal like materials that cant be seen with the eye. UV is a big part of it.When these tattoos with warm colors are done under a light that has no UV filter than these crystals become a hotplate cooking your tattoo.Witch is why it is important when tattooing to use a UV FREE lamp, like a sewing lamp.I don't know if you've ever seen them in conventions. After healing your body absorbs the mineral. Also others do have allergies to these minerals. Keep tattoos out of sun cause you skin is vulnerable during the healing process.Hope this helps

You should put a picture up and also, what colors are in the tattoo?
