Read and write German,....
Can anyone here read or write in German ?
I came into some WW I and WW II papers and I would like to have them translated. One of them is the certificate for the Hindenburg Cross.
However I dont know what the rest is. There is also some letters that were hand written by a person and dated around the time of "The Battle of the Bulge"
Any help would be great. I'll post scans just as soon as I can.
Thanks !!!

Re: Read and write German,....
Okay, this is a letter from a daughter to her father for Christmas. It is very poetic, full of extremely flowery and cheesy imagery. She is sad that she is separated from her family for Christmas and talks a lot about how wonderful Christmas is with her Father and her Mother. How she would like to walk through the cold winter Forrest and stand under the Christmas tree etc. She seems to be some sort of Soldier, not sure how that is possible, but maybe she was some sort of helper in the Army. The handwriting is hard to make out at times. If you need a full translation that will take a little while. Unfortunately have a job....
Let me know if this is enough or if you want a full translation.

Re: Read and write German,....
I think this might be the person who wrote the letters.
