Default Success Story!

Just wanted to share our success story. We were vsiting the Paulding County Animal shelter every 2 weeks or so checking on the dogs. In November we came upon a small gray pitt that looked scared to death. We opened the pin and she practically climbed up into my arms. She was so pitiful. Her teets were hanging down as if she had just had puppies and she was bone thin, ribs poking out. We inquired about her and were told she was being held on a cruelty charge. Each week we kept checking on her but soon she was no longer in the general population. In early February we found out she was still there and mid month was the last court date with the abuser. He had to give up the three pitts or go to jail so he made the only smart choice to date. We brought "Gracie" home at the end of Feb and she is working her way into the family. My Olde English Bulldogge, Savannah has welcomed her and loves her. Gracie hides and is very fearful of everything but sits in Dad's lap and loves the attention. We found out that she had three litters of puppies (and she is only 1 yr old) a ruptured uterus that has been fixed, was tied with chain with little food and water and was in deplorable conditions. There are two more still waiting for families at the shelter. Gracie is happy now and we are so glad to have her.

Adoption is a cool thing to do, make sure you can make a lifelong commitment! Bullies get a bad rap but are the best dogs. We love ours!
Happy Trails!
