I've been considering picking one up. I like cutback liners, but what I'm wondering is if anyone here has used one and what their thoughts on them are.

I think it is weird to sell a product that mike malone made even after he is gone and say it is the same machine ,same as when a band loses its main players but keeps the name.Thats just my opinion but they were pretty good machines.

i feel the same way. I don't think that the guys at lucky's are making bad machines, they're probably quite good. Even though they claim to have been passed the tricks and rights to them. I think I would be more comfortable, at least, with one that was manufactured by keith underwood. I mean, look at the bulldog. So many people have had their hands on that design. It all started with Jerry, then Malone, then Malone and Adam Ciferri, then Malone and Underwood, then Malone, Underwood, and another guy (can't remember his name for the life of me), and now Lucky's is supposedly making the real deal. It makes it very doubtful that the same practices are still there. Nobody does anything exactly the same. Not to mention all the guys that have ripped off these designs. No offense to them, because I'm sure some of them are very good, but it's not the same. I dunno. I've been trying to get my hands on an O.G. We'll see how long that takes.

the bulldog shader from lucky supply? is that the one your talking about in this post? the bulldog i know for sure is a very good runner from them. and aswell as the rollmatic from them, i actually live about 35 minutes from them and work about 10 minutes. i mean, i see what your talking about, it does seem like everyone has "the bulldog" but ive seen these from luckys and there machine shop, im very impressed.

lucky's are legit. instead of letting mike malone's machine legacy die out...Underwood is having luckys make the machines, because the demand is much higher than what one person that is tattooing full time, making inks, and traveling with warped tour is able to do justice to. thats the difference. its a rollomatic.

thanx guys. I really appreciate the input. I'm definitely gonna put some more thought into it. They do look good, it's just one of those things, ya know??? It's kinda weird.

well, I sent out the dough, and we'll see what Jimmy over at lucky's puts together. At this point, after looking at a bunch of his work, I have no doubts in his ability to turn out a gnarly machine.
