Alla Prima Anyone?
not sure if there was a thread with this in it... prolly is..and sorry if it was already discussed.. but has anyone here tried these inks? ( alla prima ) if so, how are they in comparison with Eternal as that's my brand of choice next to Intenze and Starbrite..
Thanks
Austina

Re: Alla Prima Anyone?
I like them. I use mostly Eternal, but Alla Prima has some really weird and fun colors to use. I really dig their dirty colors, like the zombie and soap-bucket green, and the sailor jerry teal. I don't use them often, but their really awesome when I do use them.

Re: Alla Prima Anyone?
Carlton had a good idea and cornered his end of the market. Rather than just coming out with colors he's the first to come out with a system. In that he is a success. However any of the effects and colors can be achieved with other inks, not just alla prima.
it's more knowing how to put them in the skin that matters, not the ink itslef

Re: Alla Prima Anyone?
Sounds like some s&!tty drama, but regardless, I like the inks - whatever they are and whoever actually makes them.

Re: Alla Prima Anyone?
my buddy tbone just got them, and from what i' seen, they're pretty workable with little effort. the zombie set has defiantly caught my attention for sure. i'm also diggin the easy glow set from joe capo. but like any other company, there's a few that are a pain in the arse. but both are pretty good so far from what i've used.

Re: Alla Prima Anyone?
I cant speak for all the colors but the alla prima browns work really well! not really thick and just flies into the skin!! I used to use SB venetian brown and buckskin tan but found this works a little better..
