im looking at moving out west and i want to do some guest spot recon work before i move. i have the info from the state licensing agency, but i need to know about how long after i take the test i will get my license. obviously i have to fly out there to take the test, but then is it weeks before i can tattoo? or is it like the DMV after you pass youre in? any answers are appreciated (and yes i know i can call them, but its the weekend)

I got my license in Oregon about 6-1/2 years ago, they printed it out when i was done with the test. Not sure how it is now tho.

Calling them for anything is the waiting part. Anytime i have called for anything, i usually have to leave a message and wait a week to get a call back.

If your from out of state , you should know that they done test you on anything directly on how to tattoo. Its all about cross contamination, and the laws and rules, fines, and all thier definitions...I havent heard they changed the test yet.

It wasnt that hard, but if you havent studied that specific stuff then you havent got a chance.

Ya I got the study guide from 1993. Just waiting on my taxes so I can send in my application. I'm trying to set up some guest spots so I can fly out, take the test, and get to work. Kent- what shop do you work at?
