New to the site/advice to get re-hired at a shop

I wouldn't normally do this sort of thing but when you act like your above criticism, your work should be better than this. Maybe you really like tattoos, and that's great! But when you've been tattooing for 3 years and your work looks like this, it might be time to consider that the art industry just isn't for you. At least not in the form that permanently marks people's bodies. Take up painting or something.

W O W ! 3 years? i would start over dude. not to be a d**k, but for real man, i can see just from your work you have some bad habits. maybe you should get an apprenticeship from somebody that can actually tattoo.

So in response,the first few tattoos in my album ( I didnt know they were clickable links ) are new,the rest are,like I said,from when I first started. As far as the kneeling figure goes,my client drew it and brought it to me and asked me to copy it just how it was,so I did.You can see some other work of mine at [url]www.myspace.com/tattoosbytonye, its my new tattoos only one.

And yes,the guy who taught me did suck,I learned alot after I quit. I know Im not the greatest,but my progression has slowed,alot of it because I went from tattooing full time for over a year,and doing it part time cause in this economy,I have to work a normal job and tattoo on the side now. I went from doin a handful a week to a handful a month,so until I can get a steadier flow of clients,my learning curve has slowed alot. I put myself out there to get all input,and Im in no way above input,I dont think anyone should be.

sorry buddy, I gotta agree, Forget what you know, and try and re-apprentice with someone who knows what they're doing. You've just got alot of technique to learn, and alot of bad habits to unlearn. and I'm not saying I don't. I'm always trying to learn, but really, start over, your future clients will thank you for it.
