They are reliable, accurate as hell, and very lightweight. I can hit an empty 12ga shotshell from 30 yards on the open sights from the seated or prone firing positions.

Actually they meet the NFA requirements for 16" barrel length, so they are like any other rifle.

I keep mine with a set of 20 round magazines. The Beretta storm comes in two flavors, one that takes the Cx4 style mags and one that takes the 92 series (92fs, Military M9, etc...) mags.

I got the one with the 92 series mags because these mags are widely available from many companies.

Also, other cool things about the Storm carbine:

1) Fully ambidextrous...you can swap the ejector, safety, bolt release and internal receiver from right handed to left handed in about 60 seconds in the field, no additional tools or parts needed. All the parts do double duty.

2) VERY easy to clean and break down. Pop out the one retainer pin and the whole thing comes apart for easy cleaning.

3) Accessories are easy. Mine has a 3 rail add on that allows for multiple dovetail mount accessories like a light, laser, vertical foregrip, etc....

4) You get higher muzzle velocities. The 16" barrel produces higher muzzle velocities on the order of 1350-1450fps.
