I get the impression that most artists don't like finishing/continuing other artists' work. Is that the case? If so, is there a particular reason?

you should try to talk with John Lloyd at AON. He's active in the Christian church, and also heavily tattooed (as well as being an exceptional tattoo artist). I'm sure he'd have some good material...

Regarding fading and sun damage - if you coat your tattoo with sunscreen does it still get damaged from prolonged sun exposure? Not sure what made me think of this, but I am curious.
