Server Upgrades
 
Our new web hosting company is doing a server upgrade. So if you attempt to reach the site on Saturday and are unable to get to the message boards or the site might appear down, it is expected with the change.. If there is an outage - it will be a short outage..

The reasons for this migration are as follows:

- current server is running an old distribution of RH 7.3, the new server will be running recently released CentOS 4.x (http://www.centos.org/)

- Since current server is running an old version of OS, we were unable to do some cPanel updates, those will take place during the migration

- most importantly, the new server is the latest generation of AMD Opteron 248, which is about 40% faster then current Xeon CPUs that are on current server.
