Tattoo Artist Sued??
 

Has a tattoo artist ever been sued for their work? you know like quality, causing scarring, screwing up some lines/drawing, or even not coming close to what they may have promised.

Is there some sort of small print on the paperwork you sign that keeps this from happening?

Yes. I'm sure like everything else there are loopholes though. Some has done it im sure.

A while back on some court tv show, I sawe an "artist" get sued for misspelling a name or something. I think he had to pay to have it removed.

The client is partially at fault here. You HAVE to look at the stencil before they apply it to your body. That should be a lesson to everyone getting script. Preview it first and make sure everything is right.

We usually make the client spell out whatever the words are on a piece of paper

About 20 years ago in Memphis an artist got sued for tattooing a minor. Later is came to be known the artist also had HIV! Is that not some s&!t?!?!

Hahahahahahahaha that's just awesome, first of all who the hell doesn't look at the stencil , second of all who doesn't look at the tattoo after it's finished , and third of all why didn't he look at portfolios hahahahahahahahaha, scratchers be damned.

we have a section on our release forms for this, where they have to spell it out, and sign that it is spelled correctly. releasing us from any responsiblity.
