I searched and didnt see a thread for posting pics of your dog so i figured id create one.
here is my baby. her name is Karma. she is a pit mix, with what, i dont know. im guessing beagle. i rescued her from the hall county humane society october 16th and she has been my baby ever since. she sleeps with me every night. at the pound: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...s/DSC02312.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...s/DSC02314.jpg more recent: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...m/DSC02528.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...s/DSC02383.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...s/DSC02385.jpg as you can see her previosu owners hacked up her ears. i assume with scissors. they said when she came in they were covered in dry blood. i also think they had bigge dogs and tried to make her mean, or fight, she is timid when it comes to big dogs. shes not aggressive AT ALL. i have tried and tried to get her to bite or snap and she wont. i can take her food out of her mouth, hold her until shes irritated with me, nothing. shes the best dog ever! my girlfriends sister breeds pits, which im trying to get her to stop doing. she just had a little from a canery dog(gator pit) and a black pit. both of which were the sweetest dogs ive ever met. im debating getting one of the puppies, but it may require me renting a house rather than an apartment. im broke and in college. ill just have to see what i can do. actually my wife did, and its a boy, hence the "blue" hair clasp(thats what she told me when i asked why his hair was like that). but i cant tell you how funny it is to see the little one jumping and snapping at the newfy and she will just back up and walk away like shes scared of him.

All dogs are rescues. Dusty was from Southern Hope and we got him as a puppy. Simo and Emma are from Atlanta Pet Rescue. Both were rescued severly underweight and had "mental baggage". They were about 2 years old when we got them. Simo is still extremely dog agressive. We had to spend weeks just getting him used to Emma. Emma is still a little creeped out by cars, terrified by storms and just about anything outside of the house. But when she's in the house, she's crazy protective of the property. She doesn't play with people but loves to play with Dusty. I would really love to know what happened to these guys. But they're in a better place now with us.:laughing8: |

This picture was taken a little over a year ago on Kodiak's very first day home. I fell in love with this dog while volunteering at a no-kill shelter. He'd come in as a stray and been there for five years! |

My Beloved "Softail" She had been found running down an interstate highway, approx 45 pounds underweight, with a puppy choke collar embedded in her neck...it was a holiday weekend, no vet to be found, so she let me cut it out of her and was healed in just a short time. Her canines were broken off and she was a badly abused dog. She lived a pretty happy, spoiled life with me. She was my heart!
