a question about inks
 

I've always used Talens drawing ink for outlining. And one day when I was getting tattooed my artist was using pelican to shade, he said it made for smoother shading than some other inks. My question is what do you guys use or recommend using for outlining and shading?

triple black from kingpin and national tattoo supply, we prefer to use inks that are intended for tattooing.

ps - thats for both outlining and shading

What are your thoughts on Dynamic black?

never tried it bro

but I use karasumi or whatever sometimes - its dope

for black and grey i mean. but like brandon said..its not for tattooing so...use judgment

true that - but Ive used all kinds of stuff over 14 years ya know - whatever works is whatever works!

And i also use trible black from starbrite. I've used it since i started and find great results. try it out can't hurt!!

I use Dynamic and it is an awesome black, I use it for Outlining and a 50/50 mix of Dynamic/Pelikan for shading. Picked that 50/50 mix up from hangin with Jeremiah Barba (Last Rites)....works very well....very smooth gradients.
